As Walt requested of his staff, we are on a first name basis here at Disney Journeys. Hi, my name is Kim and I live near Hershey, PA. I grew up
in Rochester, NY where I attended Hilton High School. After attending
Syracuse University, I transferred to the University of Buffalo where I
graduated with a Legal Studies degree. My first real job out of college was
working for the law firm, Nixon, Hargrave in downtown Rochester, NY.
My love for Walt Disney World began at the age of 11 when I
traveled to the Magic Kingdom for the first time. My grandparents introduced
my Mom and I to this place of wonder. Ever since that first walk down Main
Street U.S.A. with Cinderella's Castle growing closer, I've dreamed about
moving into the Mouse's House. While I haven't set up residence, I have
vacationed in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, sailed aboard the Disney
Cruise Line, traveled to Disney's Hilton Head Island and spent countless
hours helping families, friends, neighbors, teachers, and other
acquaintances plan their dream vacations.
In 2007, I was planning my next Disney vacation. We were
traveling that Thanksgiving to Disneyland. I saw an interesting ad that WDW
had launched a "nationwide search for moms who have mastered the art of
planning a Walt Disney World vacation." This description jumped out at me
and before I knew it, I was quickly typing out 3 essays. My husband came
home from work and I told him that I applied for "this Disney mom thing".
Flash forward and read my journey here. As a Member of the
inaugural
WDW Moms Panel, I've fulfilled dreams that I never really even
knew that I had. I love being a Mom, Wife, Writer, Vacation Planner and
Dreamer.
Then, as I was getting ready to hang up my Ears (but never
the tiara), I was invited to stay on the WDW Moms Panel for another year.
Now, I answer questions devoted to the Disney Cruise Line as well as any WDW
questions that are posed directly to me via my Bio page.
I've experienced delightful journeys both personally and
professionally. I hope to share those with you here so that your family can
find your own magic when vacationing with Disney.
